Hotel location
Hospes Maricel offers a truly luxurious stay with its location on the water. The sight from one building to another across an idyllic bay, or even just looking out your window at all that beauty before you, is enough reason for anyone who visits this hotel not only once but multiple times!
There are two bus stops in front of the hotel. From there you can quickly go to Palma or Andratx. Hospes Maricel also offers a Vallet parking service.
Surrounding area
You can reach the Fundació Miró home and workshop of the masterful classical modern artist Mirò in 5 minutes by car. The gardens at Marivent Royal Residence have been open for viewing since 2018- a perfect spot to enjoy some relaxation on your vacation! The small port of Cala Nova is about 200m away.
We recommend the nearby Porto Pi shopping center or a trip down Palma’s main street for shopping. You can also take advantage of this deal and park your car in one accessible location with a garage near Cathedral Park (Parc de Mar).
Golfers can reach the well-known golf club Real Bendinat Club in minutes.
Relax and enjoy
Wellness and relaxation are priority number one at the Maricel. You’ll find the Bodyna SPA area in the annex building across from it, or you can enjoy a day off on your own time with private indoor jacuzzi & fitness room access!
The SPA is the perfect place to get your heart rate up and enjoy some exercise! You’ll find steam baths, saunas (indoor/outdoor), pools, massage rooms- even a fitness room. Unfortunately, we visited during remodeling, so there were limitations, but what’s still available makes for an impressive list of activities within walking distance.
Bar and lounge
The bar is well stocked, and drinks are served in the luxurious lounge area. You can’t sit at a counter because it’s combined with a restaurant, but you’re more than welcome to enjoy your beverages outside on one of many spacious terraces or inside next door where there are large windows that offer breathtaking views from up high!
Furthermore, there is an infinity pool on the seashore with direct access to the Mediterranean Sea.
It’s an excellent place for some relaxation and reading by the water!
Bedroom
The Hospes Maricel’s 51 rooms are distributed between the main building and an annex building across the street. The renovations to these classic suites have been recently completed, giving us access to some new remodeling opportunities! We were able to upgrade our stay by checking out one of their terrace-level accommodations.
The modern furnishings in our room made it feel like we were staying at a 5-star hotel. The location near the staircase meant some noise issues, but nothing too wrong!
The rooms in the annex building are also very modern and have a private Zen pool. We will test the rooms during our next stay.
Food & Beverage
Hospes Maricel offers its guests a rich and filling breakfast buffet. It can be served either outside or inside, depending on your preference! If you’re feeling extra hungry before taking off for the day, then order some eggs to start with – they’ll come right away; thanks so much staff members here are always eager to serve their customers’ every need. At the time of our visit in November 2021, masks were mandatory.
If you are looking for a way to start your day off right, look no further than this fantastic 10-course breakfast menu. You will be greeted with smoothies and fruit salad before moving on to cheese, followed by fish or meat heated over an open fire—and finally ending off with some ice cream drizzled in champagne alongside all of our other yummy treats!
The menu is so well thought out that you will feel like a king despite the many courses. The menu changes with each season, and it is so well thought out; even if there were only one dish on offer right now – We’d still want some!
Try it out! The breakfast is trendy island-wide, and we recommend you book well in advance. For example, all Sunday dates were fully reserved for the next few months.
You can enjoy fine, high-quality Mallorcan cuisine at the Maricel restaurant in the evening. Alternatively, there are several excellent small restaurants in the area.
We recommend the restaurant Bruno Port Calanova in the nearby port. You can make reservations through the hotel.
What else is important?
The Hospes Maricel Hotel has MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) facilities and a variety of rooms suitable for corporate events and group travel of any kind. For example, during our stay, an event was held by the Porsche company.

Why should you spend your vacation at Hospes Maricel? The location by the sea friendly and courteous staff members will inspire us. And there is probably one of the best breakfasts in the world ever, which we highly recommend for anyone who wants their taste buds to tingle with joy!
What is the best way to book the Hospes Maricel?
There are several ways you can book your stay.
- Classically via the travel agency. The original idea for the hotel had Marcel Trost from the travel agency Atlantis in Dietzenbach, which we can recommend without reservation. Thanks again for the great tip! For package travelers the safest way.
- The hotel can be booked via the usual booking portals*.
- You can also book directly through the home page of the hotel. For example, if you sign up for the newsletter, you get a 10% discount. The hotel belongs to the Marriot Group – Bonvoy members receive points for their stay.
