If you want to stay super central in Vienna at the Stadtpark – Parkview Residences Vienna
The Parkview Residences Vienna are very nice apartments for a visit to Vienna. They are centrally located at the Stadtpark and close to public transport. They were almost perfect for our 4-day city trip to Vienna. Why did we choose the Parkview Residences and what did we experience?
Parkview Residences Wien
In July 2019 we were in Vienna for 4 days. Regarding our accommodation the following points were important for us:
- Central location and easy access to public transport, as we arrived by plane and wanted to use only public transport in Vienna.
- Sufficient space so that we can also put our feet up after a strenuous day
- The breakfast was of secondary importance for us, because we wanted to have breakfast in the Viennese cafes.
After intensive research we landed at the Parkview Residences Vienna and got stuck. We were convinced by the location at the city park, the proximity to the train station Wien Mitte (direct connection to the airport) and the subway, as well as the good ratings in the relevant portals. Also in July 2019 reasonable prices per room / night were called. We had booked about 3 months before.

Parkview Residences Vienna – the Stay
The apartments can be reached after a 5-minute walk from the train station Wien Mitte. The reception is located on the 2nd floor of the building ( entrance middle door ). Access to the building is via a code card, which you will receive. You will also be instructed extensively.
Our apartment was located on the 4th floor with a view to the street / city park. Unfortunately at the time of our stay just the facade was made, so that we had to suffer something from construction noise and scaffolding work.
The apartment fully met our expectations. A nice big main room with a comfortable bed and TV flatscreen. Everything was clean and tidy. In the passage to the main room is the kitchen with microwave. The equipment is sufficient, but we didn’t really want to cook there.
The bathroom is modern, fully tiled and equipped with a beautiful ground-floor shower. Access is from the kitchen. The bathroom is inside and is ventilated by a fan.
Pictures of the apartments can be found on the relevant booking portals. The Parkview Residences Vienna have a fast Internet access, which can be shared free of charge.
The inner courtyard is used by the pub “Bieramt”, which is located in the building, so that there may be some noise. We didn’t hear anything about it. The Heumarkt is a 4-lane busy street, but the traffic noise is hardly audible when the window is closed. The Parkview Residences Vienna also have air conditioning.
Parkview Residences Vienna – the neighbourhood
One of the big plus points. You are within 10 minutes in the city center, at the station, at the subway. For us tourists this was a real advantage.
In the morning we recommend a stroll through the city park to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. On the way there you will find a number of cafes and bakeries for breakfast. Alternatively you can go to the train station Wien Mitte, which has a large shopping center with supermarket.
You should definitely have visited the following cafes and restaurants:
We were in all restaurants and cafes – our goal was to eat every day in a different district.
A great help for us was the Wien City Card*, which we had booked for 3 days including airport transfer ( CAT ). Super comfortable – a must. We hadn’t booked the big Vienna Pass*, because we only wanted to visit a selective number of sights and it wouldn’t have paid off.
For a quick beer – the Bieramt in the building
The “Greek” next door – To Ellinikon – cheap and delicious
You have to eat Tafelspitz in Vienna – in the Plachutta Wollzeile we had a great time ( make sure to reserve early !! )
Elevated and a real pleasure – Restaurant Steirereck – directly opposite the Parkview Residences Vienna in the Stadtpark
Extremely touristy but great spare ribs and beer – Salm Bräu
Super Cafe for breakfast, directly at St. Stephen’s Cathedral – Haas&Haas Restaurant
And in the evening a nightcap to the Atmosphere Rooftop Bar in the Ritz Carlton – you are there in 5 minutes or back in the apartment.
