Friends and lovers of fine cuisine will get their full money’s worth in the restaurant “Die Scheuer” in Hofheim. Chef and owner Ralph Stöckle have been serving his guest’s local dishes for over 30 years. His credo is quality, continuity, and regionality. This is also reflected in the menu, which, for example, also reflects the Swabian origins of the Stöckle family in an excellent manner.
Scheuer – Hofheim
The restaurant is located in the middle of the old town of Hofheim, directly next to the parking lot at the Untertor. The building is a lovingly restored old half-timbered house in which the restaurant occupies 2 floors. In summer there is the opportunity to sit outside.
The furnishing is rustic and fits in perfectly. The visit took place in December and the offered 4-course goose for 75 Euros was tested. The appetizers can be varied so that for example the goose liver could be exchanged for the salmon tartare. The quality of the food was very high. The goose on the spot fried and the strudel on lentils a welcome intermediate course. The wine list is also very well stocked – a red wine by Elena Walch was tested, which also went very well with the menu.
This fine restaurant in Hofheim seduces the guest with great cuisine in a wonderful ambiance. Due to its location in the middle of the Rhine-Main area, the Scheuer is easily accessible from Frankfurt, Mainz, and Wiesbaden.
