Review of the Star Alliance Lounge in Amsterdam – it’s worth a visit
Since March 2019 there exists a Star Alliance Lounge in Amsterdam Schipol. Unlike many Star Alliance lounges, which are operated and designed by the airlines, the Star Alliance Lounge in Amsterdam is designed by the Star Alliance. The lounge is located in the Schengen area of Schipols Airport on the 1st floor, next to the KLM Lounge. Behind the entrance area there is an elegantly furnished lounge for all Star Alliance Business and First Class passengers as well as all Star Alliance Gold members. The lounge can accommodate up to 150 people. The design is puristic and warm brown tones dominate. The lounge is divided into different areas where you can sit in lounge armchairs or at tables. Everything looks very modern and tidy. In the back there are niches where you can work relatively undisturbed.
Cold and hot dishes are offered, such as sandwiches, wraps, fruit or rice, pasta and ratatouille. A good solution is also to offer drinks. The usual soft and alcoholic drinks are offered at a bar. We liked the opportunity to tap our own beer.
