Nakar Hotel Review – stay in the heart of Palma with views of the Cathedral
The Nakar Hotel is a modern design hotel in the heart of Palma and attracts the guest with modern rooms, a central location and a rooftop with a magnificent view of the old town of Palma and the cathedral. Reason enough for us to visit the Nakar Hotel on a November weekend.
Nakar Hotel – Concept and Location
The target group of the Nakar is the modern traveller or Urban Traveller. The guest, who is primarily on a city trip and expects maximum comfort in an appropriate ambience, interprets freely.
This applies to the location. The hotel is located on Avenida Jaime III, one of Palma’s busiest and most central streets. It is 10km from the airport and the transfer takes about 15 minutes by car. Taxis and bus stops and multi-storey car parks are in the immediate vicinity. Nearly all of Palma’s major sights can be reached on foot within 10 minutes.
Guests who need a car have to calculate about 25 Euro per day for the car park. Considering the short distance to the airport, this is an argument for taxi, bus or the transfer service of the hotel.
The Nakar can be booked via all common platforms. The direct booking via the homepage with Promo Code ( NKRPROMO ) seems to be the cheapest, because breakfast, free WLAN and Mini Bar, as well as a welcome champagne is included.

Nakar Hotel – Rooms
The hotel has 57 rooms of various categories. We had booked a superior double room (no. 66) for 3 nights with breakfast.
The room was spacious and modern. The bathroom is open in the room. Storage space and cupboards are available in sufficient number. Sockets and USB connections are also problem-free usable. The mini bar ( drinks ) is free of charge and is refilled daily. The beds are spacious and very comfortable. In the bathroom, Molton Brown provides high-quality bathing products.
The bottom line is a very nice, modern and functional room for a stay.
Criticism points are the bright hearing – thin walls and doors reduce the living experience, the flat screen, which had again and again picture and sound interruptions and to smile, the spacey toilet door, which is so well designed that it cannot be opened completely, because it collides with the washstand.
Nakar Hotel – Breakfast
The hotel restaurant, where breakfast is served, is located on the 8th floor of the hotel. The restaurant, like the rooftop, offers a great view of the city.
Breakfast is served as a buffet. Guests have a choice of juices, pastries, fruit, hot drinks, egg dishes, hot dishes, yoghurt, sausage and cheese. The egg dishes are prepared at a cooking station. Coffee and tea are provided at fully automatic machines.
The quality of the breakfast is good, but it didn’t knock us out either. We are rather fans of a breakfast, like that of the Iberostar Llaut Palace. Nevertheless, the guest gets a good breakfast in a nice ambience.
Nakar Hotel – Rooftop
One of the highlights of the hotel is certainly the roof terrace with Infinity Pool. This is located on the 9th floor and can be easily reached by elevator or via the restaurant. The view over the city is fantastic and it is worth to end the evening here with a drink. In summer and in the season DJs also provide the background music. Unfortunately, we didn’t have this in November.
Nakar Hotel – Our conclusion
The Nakar Hotel has fulfilled our expectations. Modern design and comfort in the heart of Palma make your stay worthwhile. The roof terrace is an oasis in the middle of Palma’s hustle and bustle. Only the breakfast doesn’t look so good to our taste. However, this is of secondary importance for the target group. The price of the Nakar ranges between 150 – 200 Euro per night for a superior double room. For us, the Nakar Hotel is a very good choice for the city traveller who wants to explore Palma for a weekend.
