Marching with On Running shoes through New York 50 KM in 4 days, was the result of our purchase decision for an upcoming New York City trip. We bought the On Running shoes in the running shop in Frankfurt. Inspired by the positive reporting and the good advice we received on-site, we took the decision and did not regret it.

The Swiss company On AG has started to revolutionize the running world. The means of choice is the so-called On technology. The core is the sole with the patented CloudTec® technology. According to On, it enables soft landings and an explosive kick. This promises a light running feeling, no compromises in terms of cushioning and impact protection. In short, the marketing slogan is: “Run like on clouds”.
The company presents the shoes very well on its homepage, underpinned by a series of stories from athletes who wear and use the shoes successfully.

With On Running shoes through New York – How was our impression?
We had purchased the model Cloud X* in blue. We deliberately did not want a pure running shoe, but the goal was to have a sporty shoe for the street/city. We did not regret the purchase. The Cloud X* is light as a feather and very comfortable to wear. We didn’t run on “clouds”, but the wearing comfort was extremely good. Even after a tour of 25km, we had no heavy feet. The shoe is very breathable and the feet are well ventilated. The disadvantage is that we often got wet feet in the New York rain. The inner sole adapted well and supported the wearing comfort. A slight processing weakness on the insole did not cloud the good overall impression.
